Natalie Germann is an active member in the Nanaimo music scene. She moved to Nanaimo in 2005 where she studied voice and piano in the jazz program at Malaspina University-College. A multi-instrumentalist, Natalie began playing classical piano at age 4, and completed her grade 9 exam with the Royal Conservatory of music. She began playing the acoustic guitar at age 13, and more recently started playing the mandolin, and the banjo. Her love for acoustic music is expressed in her original songs which are influenced by many styles including folk, rock, bluegrass, and blues (see Natalie\'s MySpace). Natalie hosts an open mic jam every Thursday at Lounge one-2-one (formerly Katz), and is involved in various projects with musicians around Nanaimo.
